DH> I like bluegill. There are so many of them! I fished a weed for an
DH> hour and pulled fish after fish out. But when I look into the water,
DH> I don't see any bluegill. They blend in to the background very well.
DH> Perch do the same thing. I cant see them, but they are hiding in the
DH> weeds somewhere in there.
RS> Perch is a generic name, I think. Bluegills are only one of the
RS> species. There are generic names for a lot of them, such as
RS> Sun Perch, Sheephead Perch, Goggle Eyes, and like that.
Bluegill are my test fish. I test out new lures on them, learn how to
work the lure. I figure bass are like bluegill but bigger and slower
and lazier. It seem the bigger fish are the lazier they are. Sometimes I
wonder how they even eat. A minnow would have to fall into their
mouth before they would eat it.
... I saw the pike had the minnow in mouth, hook exposed, laughing at me..
