Try a parallel port connection between the two machines which might work for 
the OS/2 machine but probably not for the DOS unless of course it can 
multitask (I think).  It is an interesting problem but offhand I would think 
that at least one of the machines would have to be running two nodes of 
Maximus, and more than likely both machines, so that they could communicate 
through their respective parallel port and thus with both remote users and 
the local(s) all at the same time.  Anyhow check out a PLIP-type connection 
and therein may lie the solution to your query.  Let me know if you discover 
a solution as I might try something simular to this someday.  :)
