mean, *me* being more attentive to what you said in your thoughtful mail 
and last post.)

But it's late, so I'd better get my butt in bed--have an appointment to 
keep in the morning.  It's tough enough for me to drag myself out into the 
cold cruel world even when I fall asleep before three AM.  *But* I wanted 
to apologize for that cleverly inadvertent dig about the hair on fire.  I 
forgot you have red hair!! I forgot Pamela has red hair!  And for all I 
know, so does everyone else!!!    But I wasn't THINKING 
(um . . . *shut up*, really, you weren't?!), no, really, I was thinking of 
a cartoon character who freaks out and looks like that.  I don't know why I 
didn't come up with a better simile or metaphor or whatever it was.

And yes, I'm a drama queen.  Always have been.  Used to be on the debate 
team.  I can usually argue either side of an issue, which frustrates the 
people who want to know "what do you REALLY think and which side are you 
ON?"  And which also leads to perceptions of me as a completely irrational 
nutcase.  Those perceptions may not be that wide of the mark.  I like to 
call it an artistic temperament on steroids.
