MUNCHAUSEN SYNDROME BY PROXY
This is a unique and often unrecognized form of child abuse in
which a parent produces or induces symptoms in a child that causes
the child to undergo unnecessary medical intervention. The 1992
National Social Work Director of The Year will discuss her experiences
in dealing with this disorder as well as methods of treatment.
