From: "Antti Kurenniemi" I've said it before, and I will say it again: the names of things should be given a little more thought in Linux. Case in point: there is a pretty good system monitor in KDE (KDE System Guard), which has a cpu load display. And there's something called "Nice load". So what the heck is this "Nice" I ask, and like any good geek I go to google and try: "What is nice in linux". Yeah right, ha ha. Mildly amusing, but hardly helpful. So anyone care to give me a very brief hint as to what it actually is, this "Nice" that is taking a tiny fraction of my cpu. Thank you.
