A month or so ago some slimeball dumped his (or her) dog out here in the boonies.
It was found by the city of Emerson, which advertised on the radio (KMA) that
it had been found and its owner could/should pick it up.  Of course, nobody claimed
it.

I called the city and told them that if the owner didn't show up I'd adopt it.
S/he didn't and I did, and now I have eleven dogs - two of which were dumped
out here by their owners (and all of which weigh 30 pounds or more - much more in
some cases, three of them weigh over 100 pounds each).  I go through about eighty
pounds of dry dog food in a week.
