| subject: | APARTMENTS AND HAMS |
Allen, AS>Such a shame that apartments aren't more "ham friendly". Being in an RF hol AS>certainly doesn't help either. What's worse at my place, is that with most of the residents having medical devices (oxygen tanks, pacemakers, defibrillators, power wheelchairs, etc.), the law of entropy, and the fact that folks will file a lawsuit at the drop of a hat, I didn't want the liability of RF causing something bad to happen. With "VoIP operations", I can still work Packet Via Telnet, Echolink, D-Star, and D-Rats, and be on the air nightly. However, with a forecast of severe weather and flooding Monday into Wednesday, I likely am going to be QRT...and the BBS will be down as well.
