From my windows maximus setup I have both numbers and tag names in use
taken directly from my husky htick file processor where the most of the
directories have the tag names and some others to handle by dos directory
names.
I could then try to do the filearea.ctl file by a perl script as I using
some perl doing for mail stat and other things on linux.

I could too take the old windows fileareactl file and change it to match to
linux and the change of the oldfiles and newfiles doing. The can be made it
like first new files and then the old one there not is been updated in new
files incoming, where new files of ex. avdat named avdat1 and the old area
as avdat2 etc.

Some the directories can be empty as if my htick processor will it right
job with replace of files both for incoming tics and my own hatched files
with tic files. Then if maximus by telnet has been activated and a user has
done some uploading of file there could be a script there by a function
check the file and after some days more (like fast date setup ) move the
file + description if any to check move directory for to be put to the
right place for the file and in away maybe send email or by other way
notice me about the file.
