        Then this being the case, Ivan Illich's principles of motivation
are boiled down to the basic level.  Examples:
 
        1. Church goers tiphing(sp)...to please God;
        2. Giving to a charity........to increase one's self-respect;
        3. Buying presents for loved ones...to share love with that
        person.
 
        All of which, would be considered very generous acts.  However,
        there is a motivation of self - interest involved.
