furlan's  are also inconsistent.  Of half a dozen msgs from him here and in
141sysop only -one- was flagged by gmd.

Notice he mentioned 're-editing' the msg.

Same thing happened to me under 2.2.  Re-editing the msg made the phantom
space between the text and the origin 'go away'.
