To be fair, this is only happening when reading messages created by FMail
and one other (could be RA's editor, not sure).  Only read-mode though.  As
soon as Alt-R is pressed, the quoted text is immediately stripped of these
chars.

Did you get the rest of that message though?  I'd re-edited it after I
found some more bugs, but you didn't comment on same.  I have also played
with the DOS exe for a while, and everything appears to work OK, but I
forgot to check whether it was also displaying that 0x8b character as well,
or not.
