PB> I run Maximus on DOS, and am curious how much memory is needed to run
 PB> two nodes under DesqView.
figure on giving each window a meg (or a bit less) of some sort of
extended/expanded memory (to speed up swaps, etc), and 500-560k of
conventional memory.. so four megs would be enough to run the system
and the usual assortment of doors and whatever else you may have. eight
megs would be better, and a bit quicker.. using two to four megs of
that for a read-only drive cache. (8 meg system: up to 2 megs to each
window total (conv+ext/exp), 2 meg drive cache, two megs for dos and dv
overhead and enough room for a small third window for doing simple
system maintenance, reading mail, etc). if this is a dedicated machine
for this 2 node system; i don't see any advantage to having more than 8
(definately no more than 12) megs of memory.. so save your money if you
can or put it into your 'other' (ie. play toy :) machine.
