Yeah, that one in particular I didn't like him. I don't mind him being 
cerbic
and eccentric, but sometimes..... Did you notice how similar Morse and the 
ag
dealer were in personality? Probably why Morse didn'tlike him.

I just finished the 1st of the Frost books, 'A touch of Frost' and found the
TV and book characters to be amazingly similar. Lots of similarities between
Frost and Morse, and also Cracker!
Not many fictional detectives that are happily married, normal individuals.
