Hummmm. I find it equally odd that at the same time we're also getting a
load of stuff about the Iranian (3'rd member of the Axis) continuing work
at Busher when that's been going on since before the fall of the Shah.

Put it another way.........why the the US "tell the world"?
Didn't have to any more than the NK'es had to admit to it. Why is it that
Pakistan was subject to similar pressures wrt to it's Nuke program but
now......hey let's welcome the Pakistani's to the nuke club?

Nope I see the exact opposite. Raise the "fear factor" &
increase the foreign policy drive

(A) To add impetus to the war against one of the members of the "Axis
of Evil". Hey look what "they" (Bush'es grouping not theirs)
are doing (B) To make sure foreign policy/defence carries through as the
major focus of the US until the next presidential election.

So why isn't Pakistan in this "Axis"? Swaps info & buys stuff
from NK. Seems like it's just as much part of the Axis as anyone else.

Bollox. Iran helped with the destruction of the Taliban & a lot of Al-Qaeda.

Assumption number 1:

Mr Bush wants to get re-elected

Fact number 1:

The US econ is in the toilet.

Odd related fact:

Presidents who preside over econs in the toilet tend not to get re-elected.
