Here is a way to fulfill the 'hunt' need in any dog but especially
those who were bred for hunting. IIRC you take an object such as an
old glove that has your scent on it and after letting the dog sniff at
it,  hide it out back in the yard somewhere (fenced in yard). OR in the
house. They'll have fun finding it. There's a bit more 'how to' to
this 'game'.. if anybody has read of it to and remembers, please feel
free to share. (The book I could refer to is in storage at the
