No logic to that one either!  Thats why I like my name.  It's simple and
has no ¨shorter version.  It is however, in alternative spellings
considered a shorter ¨nickname of some longer ones.  Carolyn comes to mind.
 Carolyn used to be a ¨male name but that's quite rare now to find a man
named that.
