Good to hear from ya Belle, it's been awhile.  Between a ton of work and some
company, and then the HD crash I've been way out of touch. I lost a bunch of
old mail packets that I D/Ld a couple of months ago with the crash. Probably
just as well, I can't even get caught up with ones I got last week.
I am slowly working my way through Burke as I find the books. Just finished 
A
Morning for Flamingos'  Don't know if I'd dare be a friend of Dave's,
everybody who get close to him seems to end up dead!  Love the Cajun patois
dialog.
Currently I'm reading 'The Curious Eat Themselves' by John Straley. I really
like his books, and have read his other two. Good characters and Straley does
a great job of detail so that I can feel the ambiance of Sitka. I like the
characters 'cause they are such ordinary people. Even his detective, Cecil
Younger, describes himself as a 'not very good detective'.  Younger mainly
just sticks his nose in and lets other people talk and he listens and
eventually stumbles over the clues.
At least we are finally getting some great summer weather up here. Spring was
very late, and summer started out cold and wet. Last couple of weeks have 
een
warm and sunny, lots of bright blue sky. Too bad I'm still so busy with work
that I can't take advantage of it. Got more company coming over Labor Day, so
hopefully it will still be good and I will enjoy it!
