I haven't played with anything other than the PK> original version of Maximus, so if your questions relate to a specific PK> implementation then I may not be able to help... I am trying to build max to run on my linux box from the sources at sourceforge.net. I have been busy with "things" for the past year or so, probably more than that now so I haven't tried building max for quite a while. But when I did last time I had a faily well behaved max running. Bo simionsen (sp?) (and others too) did an awful lot of work to the source to get max/squish/sqafix to build and run on linux. Now I have some time I thought I'd have another look at it and see if I can get it going. Mex was working last time around but I get errors on this install that I can't recall right now and max is segfaulting at the moment so I'll have to rebuild again. I'll try rebuilding on an older 32bit box and see if I have better luck. I ran Max in times past also, the 3.01 DOS version and later the OS/2 version. It ran like a charm in both those environments. I guess that is why I still try.. :) Max is a dos program though, and I think that is where the difficulty is. Linux is just too different to get these sources working. That's my suspicion anyway. If I was a programmer I'd have a look and see if it could be done but it's all greek to me.. :) --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-31012* Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, B.C.
