| subject: | Bitlocker and debuggers |
From: Mike N. http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista/en/library/c61f2a12-8ae6-4957-b031-9 7b4d762cf311033.mspx?mfr=true "Note: We strongly recommend that you do not run a debugger when BitLocker is enabled. Running a debugger on your BitLocker-enabled computer requires you to follow the recovery process every time you restart the computer." This seems bizarre - what developer doesn't use a debugger? Do they have to enter the recovery process on every reboot? It smacks of part of the DRM-chain of command integrity protection sensing a possible chink in the armor, so they just force a recovery process to prevent the possibility of watching any video larger than 480 lines with a 3rd party viewer. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
