"Note:
 We strongly recommend that you do not run a debugger when BitLocker is
enabled. Running a debugger on your BitLocker-enabled computer requires you
to follow the recovery process every time you restart the computer."

   This seems bizarre - what developer doesn't use a debugger?  Do they
have to enter the recovery process on every reboot?

   It smacks of part of the DRM-chain of command integrity protection
sensing a possible chink in the armor, so they just force a recovery
process to prevent the possibility of  watching any video larger than 480
lines with a 3rd party viewer.
