Humor aside,..
I need to explain, hoping you know.
What 'whisper' means is: using body language instead of speech.
what the dog understands best is body language.
Body language and projecting assertive calm as a pack leader.
That's what 'whisper' means.

Dogs first line of communication is via smell, then sight, then
hearing. In that order.

When we say COME, that is a sound to them they will respond to in the
fashion we train them in. But! If you simply LOOK at them, project
calm assertiveness and slap your thigh a few times... they'll come
whether you say anything or not.

Also the term 'whisperer' came about from the book "Horse Whisperer"..
A movie was made of it. This was a very good book/movie about a horse
and rider who survived a collision with a truck.

SOme felt the horse should have been put down because he had been so
severely injured. But the family wanted to rehabilitate him for the
sake of their also badly injured daughter (the rider and owner of the
horse).

I wish I could remember who the lead actor was in the movie. Perhaps
I... okay. I'll go find it...

There ya go. Robert Redford plays Tom Booker; the horse whisperer...

Yeah it is drama with a romance subplot, but good anyway. Fodder for
thought wrt the issue of saving the horse.
