In 2007 we will spend more on social programs than the military.  39% of 
the entire budget is Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.  The total 
DOD request for 2007 is $536B .  The total for Social Security, Medicare 
and Medicaid is $1.163T or nearly double the DOD budget and growing.  If 
we assume for an instant that this entitlement mess is running at 90% 
efficiency, then improving its efficiency (i.e. waste) by 10% would save 
the country $116B .  I realize you didn't actually read the budget nor 
will I pretend that you will actually understand this.
