While we're in the praying mood --> Steve is a great buddy of mine from
my active fiction writing days.
Pray for Bobbi's Dad to have sweet passage, and strength and love be felt
by those feeling the void.
Thanks....

Dear Barb,
Well, it seems to be the year of dying, at least for friends and
family.Last
night I got a call from Bobbi (while we're not maried anymore, we're
still quite
close, like brother/sister) that her 87 yeal old father (Lou) has decided
he's
done fighting his failing health (big, big, sigh ... and tears). So Bobbi
and
her son Mike (now 38) are flying out tomorrow. They expect to stay with
him in a
hospice setting, and Bobbi very much wants to be present when her father
passes,
which I honor her for deeply.
He's had quite a life, including that he and Evelyn (Bobbi's Mom) flew
out to
the Bay Area just last October for Bobbi's daughter Kim's wedding to a
lovely
young man from India named Amolik. And that's how I'll remember him, as a
funny,
irascible singularity in the world.
I know Bobbi's heart is breaking, as is my own with my Dad's slow sink
into the
great unknown. And we pray that our hearts will break further *open* so
that we
may love more completely, appreciate life more fully and experience
profound
gratitude for this miracle called life.
Really must run. Take good care, my friend, and as the Moody Blues sing
so
beautifully, "Burn slowly the candle of time."
Love & {{{{{HUGS!!!!!}}}}}
Steve
