Those two paragraphs have enough of importance to keep us occupied for
a long time! In brief, while the Rapture can occur at any time, known
only to God the Father, it is reasonable to assume that it will occur
at a time of significance to Jews, such as the Feast of Trumpets. My
expectation is that the Rapture will occur shortly before, or at the
start of the Gog invasion of Israel, and the emphasis (from God's point
of view) will switch from grace, to wrath - and from the Church back to
Israel for the last 7 years of tribulation. 

I'm just browsing an article on Montana News Association which is consistent
with my expectation (doesn't mean that I am right, or partly right) that
the battle described in Ezekiel 38 / 39 ushers in the Great Tribulation.

I suspect that it will result in the Antichrist being revealed and accepted 
as Messiah / Christ, and that he or his followers will claim that it was 
Armageddon, and that the 1,000 years of peace have arrived (7 years early).

RUSSIA'S NEW MIDDLE EAST ORDER DOESN'T INCLUDE ISRAEL

The continued call for the destruction of Israel by Iran and its
surrogates signals that the Russian strategy of regaining prominence
in the Middle East does not include Israel. The Russian stratagem is
evidenced by Russia's strong backing of Iran, both in its quest for 
a nuclear program and its thirst for strategic military arms. Russia
appears to be giving the international community a word for peace, but
at the same time is working behind the scenes to create a new world
order for the Middle East. These actions are in-line with Bible
prophecies that indicate Russia and Iran will come against Israel 
in a colossal end time battle that ushers in what is called the Great
Tribulation.

For example, Russia remains steadfast with Iran, even though Iran's
president continues to call for the demise of Israel and the Iranian-
backed Hezbollah shows no signs of a ceasefire. Monday, Hezbollah's
terrorist leaders in Iran, speaking before an international conference
of Arab ambassadors and terrorist representatives, declared their
objective of a new Middle East. Hezbollah leader Hossein Safiadeen
said, "You will see a new Middle East in the way of Hezbollah and
Islam, not in the way of Rice and Israel." Safiadeen said, "This war
will be remembered as the beginning of the end for Israel."

While U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met in Lebanon to
broker peace, LebanonAEs ambassador to Iran was attending the Tehran
conference along with the ambassadors of Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah, and
the Palestinian Authority where Hezbollah outlined its plans for the
destruction of Israel. Just last week, Russian Foreign Ministry
representatives met in Iran where according to the official Russian
news agency, "A thorough exchange of views took place on the entire
range of relations between the Russian Federation and the Islamic
Republic of Iran with special emphasis on concrete areas of further
development of trade-and-economic cooperation as well as on a number
of regional and international problems."

In the days of the cold war, "trade and economic cooperation" meant
weapons and military technology sales - which is basically the only
commodities Russia offers the world market. That the leaders of these
terrorist groups are housed in Iran and are planning strategy with the
ambassadors of Lebanon, Syria and the Palestinian Authority is a rare
public glimpse into the true nature of dangerous, yet prophetic,
situation in Israel. The Lord says of Gog, modern day Russia, in
Ezekiel 38:16, "And you shall come up against my people of Israel, as
a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days." Watch and
pray for you are witnessing God's word unfolding.
