I think the login procedure at sf.net has changed a bit, last time I
grabbed max I had to login first with... (from memory)

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous{at}cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/maximus login

and just press enter when it asked for a password. And then,

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous{at}cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/maximus -P maximus

I'm not sure if you can login somehow without needing to press enter
for the password. Maybe that can be put in the environment and then
it could be done without the login, but I haven't tried.
