Hey Alan!

Whatever the default client is in Win98. I have no idea as I never did use
Windows any version to do networking ... or anything for that matter. I am
a Unix guy. :-)

Then it won't work since this is strictly tcpip networking. No dial up
here. The wireless is hooked up to a standard ethernet at my end and that
is straight tcpip stuff (telnetd and ftpd).

Will Hyperterm use tcpip at his end? If so that might be the way to go.
Once he's logged in here he is in Linux world. I believe his client is
using vt100 but I am not sure. Anyhow it works but he wants the fancy
stuff like the Linux term. I doubt he'll find anything that good but ANSI
might be good enough for him. Certainly better then what he has. If not
then we'll carry on with what we have until he learns Linux and then has
the good stuff by default. One step at a time.

Anyhow this was too easy to setup at this end. Looks really good from this angle.

Life is good,
Maurice
