On 01-06-98, ROY J. TELLASON declared to ROBERT PLETT:
RJT>Robert Plett wrote in a message to David Hartung:
RJT> RP> As you well know, becoming or simply voting Libertarian is
RJT> RP> TOTALLY out of the question for me, even were it to be the only
RJT> RP> party in existence with conservative leanings,
RJT>Why is that?
It is Godless, in which respect it is the same as the liberals, and
reflects such in myriad positions, be it social issues in general, or
its view of "separation of church and state". Neither its statement of
principles or its platform contains such words as God, Lord, Creator,
Almighty, etc., for that reason - not even the word faith is to be found
in them in any context, let alone a religious one.
It is a party that has rejected the spiritual foundation our forefathers
relied on, and which they staked the future of this nation on, which
fact separates them from the spirit of the Constitution itself, and from
the Declaration that preceded it. Our forefathers declared that our
rights are God-given, and as such, the intent of the Constitution was to
guarantee those unalienable rights endowed by man's Creator, not to
grant them.
The Libertarian philosophy and world-view, unlike our Founders, is based
on man's intellect alone - that which seems right to man.
Liberalism/socialism is the same - it's just that what seems right to
them differs from what seems right to Libertarians. Like the scripture
says, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end
thereof are the ways of death." (Prov 14:12). That's repeated in
Proverbs 16:25, in case one doesn't quite get it the first time. The
Libertarian party didn't get it either time, and like the liberals, its
philosophy is, in the end, a destructive one.
It is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political
prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. It is
impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."
