I stumbled upon an interesting MS Word bug this past week.  I copied and
pasted some text from a document written by our European team into one of
my documents.  That simple act changed the drop-down styles menu on the
toolbar to Dutch (our European team has an office in The Netherlands). 
Deleting the text did not help, nor did 'undo'ing back prior to the paste.

I had to copy all, paste into notepad to lose all the formatting info, then
copy and paste back into a different doc and redo my formatting.

Lost about a half hour on that one...
