I recently read in a Dr. Fox (vet) column where he -> says sometimes it can be due to a craving for a lacking nutrient. WC> Spanky's always been a leisurely or even dainty eater. His favortes are a hollow rubber 'jack' shaped toy or the fuzzy stuffed one just like it (same shape). If my hubby and I pretend to wrestle or 'fight' he gets very excited and runs around with toy. Lately though he remembers his favorite playmate is gone and settles down rather quickly. What he would do is go after Patches ear and they'd play... It was too cute. While treating Patches to his special dog food we got into the a bit of feeding them both 1/4 their food in the morning and the rest at supper time. Why not. Heck why should they have to eat only once a day. :) People don't. We let them have greenie (chewie) too. They liked them and the things don't cause indigestion. ((I'm not sure what they're made of but do freshen the dog's breath.)
