Yeah but the speed would be proportianally less than that of the bullet
traveling
forward as that is a function of the difference between
the relative masses of the man and the bullet.
Simple Neutonian physics known to all grade school graduates 
for hundreds of years 

Back in the dark ages of the early 1900's people were confused as thinking
reaction to action reqwuired "somehing to push against", maybe even some
kind of an "ether" or something to "opush against."
Bunch of ignorant savages they were :-(
