DL>>DL>> Ok you let it stand, btw it is not just to get rid of
DL>>DL>> Chlorine, there can be other gasses too in the
DL>>DL>> water.
DL>> MC> Like what?
DL>> What am I ? A chemist? ;-)
Ok. So your clueless. :) I guess in Florida you might get some methane,
with all the swamp around.
DL>> Different areas, different waters, just that there can be other
DL>> things sides chlorine, depends on how your city treats water,
DL>> what is already in the water, etc.
The only gases I can think of are clorine and florine. We use clorine.
DL>> MC> No dirt in our water. It's too damn clean. :)
DL>> Wanna bet?
Yeh!!
DL>> Get a good Microscope and look at some "clean water" ;-)
I have. It's preety good from our cold lakes.
DL>> MC> Lots of dissolved limestone though. =hard.
DL>> In that case you might want to limit fish you
DL>> buy to those which do best in hard water, and
DL>> alkaline, if you lose fish, check what they
DL>> do best in before blaming it on sickness.
Did you know that wood, in the tank, softens the water?
Limestone nutralizes acid. It dosen't make it alkaline. We have a lot of
limestone in Ontario which takes care of the Acid Rain you send us.
DL>> MC> My wife uses the bucket to wash the floors. She puts some stuff in
DL>> MC> called Ceramic Shine.
DL>> YIPE! You BETTER!
DL>> If anyplace sells water in jugs, I recommend you buy a bottle
DL>> and use that after drink the water, or of course buy a new
DL>> bucket and HIDE it from the wife ;-)
We got another bucket and my son used it to wash his car. You can't win.
Marty.
