Hi Billy:
I see that your are interested in 8-track tapes. I have a collection of
about 200-300 tapes, mostly country music. I also have a panasonic
portable 8-track player that is connected to my music system. The system
that I have set up can play or record from phono, reel-to-reel, CD,
cassette, or VCR. I do most of my recording onto video tape now as the
quality is as good as reel-to reel tape. I have two Sony super hi-fi
Betamax VCR's. One is used for recording music, while the other is
connected to the TV. I also have about 1,000 collectible record albums
and I don't know how many 45's. Also have about 200 reel-to-reel tapes
and about 200 cassettes that I've recorded over the years. As I'm no
longer a spring chicken, I'm beginning to wonder what will happen to all
this music when I'm gone. I might be interested in getting rid of the
old 8-tracks. Just recently I gave to a friend a portable 8-track
player. If there are thrift shops in your area, check there. I see them
all the time here in Lincoln. Like you, I have collected all kinds
of music over the years; but, my real love is old-time country.
