Hey Jim - Two engine ferry was an approved (and stupid)
procedure on the B-727-200. I would never have any part of
doing or approving one. It was an added certification to
the Flight Manual and an airline had to pay Boeing extra
for the certification.
BTW - Away back in the dark 40's and 50's there was an
approved procedure for a windmill start on some 4-engined
types, but you were not supposed to take off.There were long
runway requirements, and you just got going like hell and
hope it started before you had to stop!
