Don't know, but it seems to work on nw4.11 (perhaps 4.10 too) only, but I got
the same result as you did on 3.12 servers, even with a 'cdrom installed'
3.12...
But... the easy workarround is to copy all the files to sys:syetem, and also
copy the nmi31x and msm31x to c: (you could rename those to the version
without the ???31x extention and remove the outdated 'old' versions both on
c: and on sys:).
Do not forget to upate your ?????TSA.NLM too, best on both sys: and c: just
in case you need the networkdriver when sys: doesn't mount for some reason,
or the networkdrivers on sys: are 'up/down-graded' by some other software
into a nonworking combination......
