Good stuff. For such a small EXE you wouldn't need them anyway.

If you look at the DOS version of BinkleyTerm, there is BT.EXE and
BTBIG.EXE. They are equivalent, except BT is overlayed. BT.EXE is about 40k
bigger, due to the extra overlay code and EXE headers. Also, a non
overlayed executable means you can PKLITE it.

rc>> Nice and small. I like.

That's the current discussion in GOLDED. Odinn has recently added QWK
support and there's been a bit of an uproar from a few folks, because QWK
is really nothing to do with ftn. It also means that GoldED is getting
bigger still:

 736320 DeflatX 295214 60% 17-05-95 23:16 c0f32125 --w- GOLDED.EXE
 ^^^^^^

That's GoldED 2.50.A0517, the most recent alpha release AFAIK.

The problem is, how does one cut down? What do you cut out? How can you
please everyone? It's impossible. As Odinn says, he already has to maintain
and support 3 versions; if he released a "Lite" version then that
number doubles.

The next *full* release will be a little smaller, hopefully it won't
have all the extra debugging info included.
