Also.. a JG>> JS> couple people have recommended FORCE FINS.. I was curious about whethe JG>> JS> or not they were as good as all the hype. THose who I asked.. (at Div JG>> JS> SHops) swore by them.... has anyone tried them? I am a beginner.. and JG>> JS> this will be my first set of fins.. JG>> Hi Jason JG>> if you are a beginner to SCUBA i would first make sure to get fins that ar JG>> easy to work with, in other words fins that are to large will hinder our JG>> efforts and will make to tired fast. My dad who is a scuba instructor ho JG>> is teaching me recommends to forget about most of the fancy stuff that div JG>> stores will offer you. You will pay quite some money more for colors on di JG>> equipment, and he always gets a kick out of seeing new divers in there mul JG>> colored equipment, for once they start diving see there colors after 30 fe JG>> underwater anyway. The force fins have been proven good to some people tha JG>> have enough experience and the strength in their legs to handle them. r As an owner of both a pair of FORCE and PLANA AVANTI's I can tell you it takes far less leg strength and kicking effort with the FORCE fin versus the planas. I would say that it is all most like kicking without fins with the FORCE, but there is a decided resistance with the PLANA's. Control is far superior with the force fins, but as far as brute power is concerned, the Plana's have more power....... JG>> beginners or so he rather recommends a fin like the Power Plana. If at all JG>> possible ask your dive shop to try different brands while taking your less JG>> ons. Just about every dive shop has student or rental equipment that they JG>> are happy to let you try so that you can make a decission on which equipme JG>> is best for you. If they should refuse to let you try equipment like that, JG>> it is questionable if the dive shop is interested in you at all, meaning JG>> they are interested in selling, not you as a diver. well i wish you good JG>> luck with scuba and maybe we can stay in touch.
