Hiya, Robert, the answer is a big yes, my toy car collection is my
favorite, and I too began collecting them at a young age. Hot Wheels (
especially the early " red line " stuff ) is nicely detailed. I had the
Mongoose & Snake set, too, but all that is left are bits and pieces,
however, I have a complete set of the " Olds 442 " series, where the
same model is painted different colors and trim : Police car, Fire Chief
car, Army car, etc. They are my favorite, along with the ' 69 Firebird.
I also have some of the " Models of Yesteryear " cars, some rubber
bodied cars from the 30's & 40's ( pre-plastic stuff that belonged to
my Uncles ) and a box full of the metal bodied " Midgetoy "cars, a good
mix of stuff, all in good but " played with " condition.
Someday, when I get some time, I'll sit down with the box of toys,
go through the catalogs to check their rarity, price, etc....
...But I'd rather just sit on the floor with a big glass
of " Ovaltine " and play with them...
...It's amazing how a lifetime of memories all fit in
one cardboard box...
Thanks, and I hope to talk to you soon...
