The problem with using existing Who is On utilities is that Maximus
automatically rereads and auto-updates user IPC status after returning from
any Xtern_* command, reverting to the "Available for chat"
string.

This makes it difficult to invoke these utilities on a menu location basis. 

I'll probably have to look into MEX.

One idea would be to run a delayed forked process - maybe using Perl,
WScript/VBScript - that executes the IPC utility after a user has returned
from an Xtern_* command.
