Probably one of the reasons the major Linux distros are moving towards
Postfix.  So far, I've seen SuSE and Mandrake using Postfix as the default
MTA.  Red Hat still puts Sendmail as the default, but when I looked at 8.0,
there was a single checkbox to switch over to Postfix.  I don't know what's
in RH 9.0, but I suspect that a switchover to Postfix may be in the offing
for RH Linux.
