Quantum theory may _seem_ to be nonsense to macro-scale 
observations and common sense but without it AND
general relativity the two most known ways to observe
reality don't play well together,

I recommend "The Elegant Universe" a NOVA eposode.
I've seen this series a number of times and will
see it yet more.

He's say the universe plays dice today.
Single photon two slit experiments demonstrate  clearly
and simply one can only predict to 50 percent accuracy
