MR>I would love to see the reefs especially when the reefs
MR>that I saw in Hawaii were notably grey and dead but some
MR>of the coral was coming back, I saw some purple coral
MR>growing in some spots. But I would like to see sponges
MR>and sea fans and elkhorn coral. Any of that there?
Sure, as long as you know where to go. The Keys have their
bad spots just like the Caymans, or Cozumel, or Hawaii.
MR>Have you done any cavern or cave diving??? I know there
MR>are wrecks but are there any caves or caverns or do you
MR>have to go someplace like "Ginny Springs"?
I was "cavern" certified several years ago at Ginnie Springs,
but have never done any further training on cave diving. The
only worthwhile "Springs" diving is in an area north of Gainesville,
Florida (near Ginnie) or up into the Florida panhandle.
MR>I know I would like to go to the springs to and meet
MR>the manatees, It really upsets me that people don't
MR>seem to care some times about animal life.
Manatee season is pretty much over for the year. They like
the area around Crystal River on the other side of the state.
MR>So what is new with you???
Well, I'm still running to the Keys every free weekend, and
I've got plans for a week in Cayman later this year, and a trip
or two to the Bahamas.
