JB> I am using Maximus 3.01. I am running Windows XP Pro. JB> I am also successfully telnetting to the bbs using JB> net2bbs. When I log-on the bbs the very first time, I JB> am correctly displayed the main menu. When I log on JB> subsequent times, JB> I get the bulletin files, the mail check, the "You have JB> 'X' minutes remaining for this call" then a blank JB> screen where the Main Menu should be. If I hit a key JB> other than Enter or Esc, I am displayed a menu which is JB> the last menu I was using when I logged-out in my JB> previous call. JB> Has any one experienced a similar problem? Not me. Might be a problem with net2bbs. I heard it's new. I think I'm supposed to be beta testing it ... . Try 1. commenting-out "Uses TimeWarn" in Max.Ctl 2. delete \max\menus\*.mnu 3. silt max Or a different telnet server. Maybe include "cd " before launching the BBS - Feels like the right thing to do. JB> Oh yes, and I have the folowing environment info in my start-up file: JB> === Cut === JB> SET MAXIMUS=C:\MAX\MAX.PRM JB> BUFFERS=30 JB> FILES=40 JB> SET MEX_INCLUDE=C:\MAX\M;C:\MEXTEST JB> === Cut === I hope those were added to %SystemRoot%\System32\Config.Nt and Autoexec.Nt, because nothing is read from C:\Config.Sys and Autoexec.Bat in WinNT 4+. Also BUFFERS= and FILES= should be separate from SET commands ie. in different config/autoexec files. You might want to add ansi.sys in there somewhere. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Top Hat 2 BBS (1:343/41) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 343/41 138/146 392 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
