NB> While I have limited ways to look at this unless I load DB up in dosemu, NB> I suppose it's easy enough to ask. Is there by chance a "Session NB> password" setting in the echomail section of DB's config as well as a NB> "Session password" setting in the BinkD config section? There is only one location in the DB config for session password. It is located under "Advanced/Misc Security". There is a separate location for a "Packet Password" that is located under "Packet/Mail Control". I have verified that I only have "Session Passwords" setup with no "Packet Passwords". The Packet Password field is totally blank - never has been used. I can also verify that my hub instance is sending echomail with a packet password - using what I have setup under "Session Password". I'm assuming that packet passwords were previously ignored in both Synchronet and Mystic. That's an assumption, but I have no other explanation as to why we just recently started noticing this issue. The solution was simple. I just asked my uplinks to add a Packet Password to match our session password. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.51* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 14/5 19/33 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/331 123/500 128/187 140/1 218/700 SEEN-BY: 222/2 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 267/155 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 282/1056 292/907 908 320/119 219 340/400 393/68 396/45 SEEN-BY: 633/267 280 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 189 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
