subject: Important WARNING about CHIRP Software and Yaesu Radios

I just returned my Yaesu 857D to Yaesu for repair because the CPU was damaged.

I'd been having issues with memories after reloading them using CHIRP software.

I emailed Yaesu Tech Support and explained the problem to them and they replied
that the CHIRP software destories the CPU in some of their radios. They
recommend NOT using CHIRP on any of their radios.

If you are using CHRIP I'd advise you to *#:STOP*#: before it's too late. You
may
get away with it a few times but eventually it WILL cacth up to you.

.!. Why is it that when you transport something by car it is called
.!. shipment, but when you transport something by ship it's called cargo?
