Hi Ruth...so good to hear from you and am glad that you are back on FIDO.
I knew that you had been "knocked off" due to the lightning strike last
summer but didn't know that Rachel was getting married. Will she be
staying in the area or will she and her "intended" be moving away?
Monsoon season was really something last summer. I really enjoyed it as it
kept the temperatures down below 100 degrees for a good part of the summer.
I don't mind the humidity when its not quite so hot.
RH>Hi Libby,
RH>Long time, no see. I had FIDO troubles last summer/fall thanks to a
RH>lightning strike (monsoon season) taking out the sysop's system. I've
RH>goten back on thru another guy who was a great help in getting me
RH>restarted.
You sure are keeping busy with the upcoming wedding plans. Am glad that
you were able find some place to purchase fabric. I've heard good things
about Buttons & Bolts; that they are great about ordering speciality fabric
for those needing it.
RH>I'm going up to Tucson fairly regularly now. I don't know how much
RH>you've read, but our older daughter is getting married in late June and
RH>wants me to make all 5 dresses. After getting her fabric at the 22nd
RH>st. Hancock's we ended up special ordering for her girls at Buttons &
RH>Bolts on Fort Lowell. They have been super! I had worked with them
RH>last fall on a special order for the girl's performance choir at the
RH>high school so I knew they would be good. Rachel was able to look thru
RH>books of swatches and decide on what she wanted; it was in 10 days afte
RH>ordering and we got a quantity discount. So far, 2 dresses are cut out
RH>& I should begin sewing this week or next--depending on how my tension
RH>check out goes.
So glad to hear that Steve will get back from Korea before the wedding.
I'm sure that you're going to be happy to have him home again. I remember
when my hubby was gone a lot during the first few years of our marriage. I
got so independent that it was almost a problem when he returned. He would
do something one way and I'd say that's not how I do it so you'll have to
do it "my way." He said, looks like I've been gone too long. How did you
luck out and get to stay here in warm Arizona for another year???
RH>Steve will be back from Korea at the end of next month. We will not be
RH>moving to Fort Lewis for now; he was able to get a change of orders to
RH>keep us here at least thru May of next year. Still same address & phon
RH>if you're ever down this way. Hopefully, we can connect on one of my
RH>trips to "the big city."
I would love to connect sometime when you're up in Tucson. I have my own
business now. I have opened a booth at the Crafters Express on Speedway
and Pantano. I am selling rubber stamps and teaching different classes. I
am having a great time and meeting new people all the time. My phone
number is 544-8198. Let me know the next time you're in town and if you
don't have a ton of errands to run; maybe we can "do" lunch.
Stay in touch. I promise to check FIDO at least twice a week. It was great
to hear from you again.
Libby
