    Howdy Brian,
    Your welcome! As you know your not going to get enough output gain
from the earphone speaker jack at all to be of any use unless you also
ran the signal to an amplifier. This would be a bit crazy I think! Its
probably much better to take the rig apart and tap in to either the
electronics on the circuit board or right at the speaker terminals!
heck if you take your rig apart you might as well get a 1/8 female
jack run the wires going to the speaker directly to the 1/8 female
jack so that when you plugged in a 1/8 inch male plug into the 1/8
female jack it would cut off the out put to the internal speaker and
when you unpluged it it would turn the speaker back on! This is a
pretty simple wiring project. If you need help with it let me know?
