Paul, at 18:35 on Jun 15 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

PE> Nope, you've just got an old copy. I told you the date in a previous

PE> you weren't going to be dialing), I crashed it to both Noel and David.

Ah, that would explain it then. Seems that you sent me the old one just
one day before crashing the latest ones to David and Noel. Damn, I've been
using it here too, and complaining about the 0x8b character being
displayed, which it isn't in this version (or maybe I just haven't seen it
yet).

PE> BTW, no need to crash it to Noel anymore, he appears to have stopped
PE> using the alpha and changed products (and support routes!). :-)

Are you sure about that? I think he's currently using both versions, and
will settle on the one with the least number of bugs. That's what he
intimated in a netmail he sent me the other day, at least. I'll look into
that.

BG> Don't want the OS/2 exe though, just the DOS one. Still paying STD rates
BG> from here, you know. Can do? If not though, I'll take both.

PE> Ok, I'll send it.

Yeah, got it (thanks), and it works just fine. Subjectively, it seems a
little faster, but I can't be sure on this heap of shit 486DX33 (which I
will attempt to replace with a 120MHz Pentium PCI machine with 64Mb of RAM
while I'm here). There appears to be slightly more free memory in the
status display too, around 390Kb instead of 330Kb, and 60Kb-odd is quite a
useful saving too, IMO.
