In a logical language, adding clarity would be good design.
Unfortunately, English is not logical! This lack is exemplified in our
inability to write a rule that doesn't have a ton of exceptions! :-)

I'm afraid you'll just have to accept that there are circumstances where an
article is required, logical or not!
