You know it's kinda funny.

I recently mentioned the converter boxes your tax dollars
shall be soon subsidising  expecting a flock of liberal
to show up asking where they could get their taxpayer HDTV
converter box.

Imagine my surprise when not *one* liberal showed up but 
rather a conservative Republican asking if he could get 
*five* such vouchers!


I kid you not.

To the somewhat limited in ability typist I responded to
I must regretfully inform you there is only
one box taxpayer paid for HDTV voucher to the customer and they will
not actually be available until January of 2008 for a period of 16
months.

I am not getting one.
I am running Linux Slackware so I shall just get a T.V. card
and run it straight into the old fashioned and thus superior
cathod ray tube monitor.
See I like the better resolution and picture so provided.
I don't need no stinking $800 32 inch wide HDTV.

I can buy a 50 dollar new or for less for older on Ebay TV tuner card  
and pop it into my 1999 Gateway computer rescued from out of the trash 
from where I got it from.
Same place I got both CRT 19" monitors for FREE.

Now let's see Tom ( R) wants *five* HDTV U.S. taxpayer 
subsidized vouchers.

I want none att all.
Nor do some other lefty liberals in another echo want
taxpayer sponsered HDTV taxpayer paid for converter boxes.


Current tally: 1 Republican wants five of them so that's $200
even for him ( if you could even get five)
But he's an ok guy and veteran so I say give him 5 of them.
