| subject: | Try to install Maximus on linux |
Hello All!
I have trying to install Maximus linux version from both zip unpacked and
cvs doing to get the latest updates.
It is my meaning on having max to run behind my mailers for some filelist
and filearea doing.
Then I have my old file areas as /home/ftp/pub/fido/ and after change over
to all now is linux doing the new incoming files is on /home/kofo/ftp/ so
there is 2 places where my files is.
I have tried to run ./configure --prefix=/home/kofo/max and then make + make install
But when it trying to install it says it not can doing this.
Here is so shall I just run it as root or local user where my system run as
fast local use and when it is done after make install setup my file areas
in filearea.ctl and go throu the other ctl files and set thenm up to they
use the old files places or the new files path or is there a way to make it
to max both se the new files and old files together.
Then just run silt when this is done.
I have setup and using binkd as mailer.
Take care
Gert Andersen
