Back in the late 80's whan I was working i nhe engineering department of the local VA facility the Anesteshology Research group were trying to adapt speech recognition for logging madication administration. It never worked out, the probem is that ones speech had to be totaly consistant. Get a cold and you had to re-train the program. Have a tremor in the voice, Forget it. Sure it works for simple game playing commanda but for real transcription of dictation it is a different story. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin* Origin: Check Out Doc's QWK Mail Via Web BBS > DocsPlace.org (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 203/0 633/0 267 280 281 640/384 1384 712/620 848 770/1 @PATH: 123/140 500 154/10 203/0 640/384 712/848 633/280 267 |
